Smoke in the distanceI spoke with a friend from Fort Carson last night and I’m beginning to freak out a little. He said that he can’t leave his apartment because the military won’t let him. There are a ton of people infected with the virus right now, and they’re not even letting people leave their homes for medicine. Says it’s too dangerous. He even heard gunfire all night long. The local news is reporting that the virus is being controlled, but I have no idea why anyone would be shooting. I can’t believe this isn’t all over the national news. Apparently the H1N1 has spread to several major cities, which is more important than PEOPLE SHOOTING EACH OTHER in some small Colorado town. >.< They’re asking for volunteers to help people get inoculated, but if guns are involved they can leave me out of it.
